Chase Order lets you move an open futures limit order to the best price on your side of the order book with one click. This page covers how it works, what changes when you use it, and where to find it.
The Basics
What is Chase Order? A control on each open limit order in LeveX Futures that re-prices the order to the top of the book. A buy order moves to the highest bid (Bid 1). A sell order moves to the lowest ask (Ask 1). The order stays a limit order and normally keeps resting in the book at the new price.
Where do I find it? On the web futures trading page, open the Open Orders table below the chart. Each order has a Chase button in the Action column, next to Cancel. You need to be logged in to see your orders.
Does it work on spot orders? No. Chase Order is a futures feature. It works on limit orders in USDT, USDC and coin-margined perpetual contracts.
Using It
What happens when I click Chase? A confirmation dialog explains that your buy price will change to the highest bid or your sell price to the lowest ask. Confirm, and the order's price is updated in place. A "Chase Order Success" message confirms the change, and the Open Orders table shows the new price.
Can I skip the confirmation? Yes. The dialog follows your order-confirmation setting. If you have turned confirmations off in your trading settings, Chase fires the moment you click it.
Does the order keep following the market? No. Chase moves the order once, to the best bid or ask at the moment you confirm. If the market moves again, the order stays where you put it until you click Chase again, edit it, or cancel it. LeveX does not re-price an order on its own.
Will chasing fill my order immediately? Usually not. The new price is on your side of the spread, so the order normally rests at the top of the book and fills when the other side trades into that level, which makes it a maker order under the LeveX fee structure. Chase is a front-end action that uses the best bid or ask at the moment you click, so it does not guarantee maker status. In a fast market the price can move before the update reaches the book, the order can cross the spread, and it fills immediately as a taker.
Can I chase a market or conditional order? Market orders execute immediately, so there is nothing to chase. Conditional orders are managed through their trigger price. Chase is for limit orders that are already sitting in the book.
What Changes and What Doesn't
Does Chase change my order size? No. Only the price changes. Quantity, direction, reduce-only status and the position the order belongs to under Multi-Trade all stay as they were.
What about take-profit and stop-loss attached to the order? They stay attached. Chase edits the entry price only. If you want to adjust the exit levels as well, use the TP/SL controls in the Open Orders table. See how to set stop-loss and take-profit orders.
What if part of my order has already filled? The unfilled remainder is what moves. The portion that already executed is unaffected.
Where does my order sit in the queue after a chase? A price change places the order behind other orders already resting at the new level, the same as any order amendment. It moves you to the best price level; it does not jump the queue at that level.
Can I still edit the price by hand? Yes. The pencil control on the Order Price field works as before. Chase is a shortcut for the most common edit: getting to the top of the book right now.
Good to Know
When is Chase useful? When the market has moved away from a resting order and you still want the trade. Chase gets you to the front on price without the cancel-and-replace delay and without switching to a market order.
Does chasing reduce my risk? No. It changes where your order sits, which affects how likely it is to fill. The leverage, margin and liquidation mechanics of the resulting position are unchanged. See understanding margin and leverage.
Where can I learn more about order types? The order types guide covers limit, market and conditional orders, and the order book guide explains bids, asks and the spread.
